Volunteering and Teacher Training at Foxwood

Here at Foxwood, we welcome volunteer and education placement requests.  We work in partnership with the local universities and colleges and can support teacher training opportunities.  

Before any placement can commence, we require the following information:

• DBS number and date of issue
• Statement from your educational provider confirming your attendance on the course
• 2 references completed (I attach a blank form)
• Photo ID
• A personal profile summary
• Why you wish to work in a Special School
• What skills and attributes you can offer to Foxwood Academy
• Your thoughts on inclusion

Your request will be then be reviewed by the Headteacher who will be in touch to arrange a visit and informal chat.
