    Macmillan Beyond Diagnosis Cancer Support Walking Groups

    Looking to get out and about in the fresh air and make new friends? If so, come and join the new Self Help UK walking groups.
    Join either (or both) of the FREE groups for a walk and talk in the green leafy surroundings of Forest Recreation Ground and Newark canal pathways and have a cuppa along the way. It’s a chance to get to get to know others, make new friends and engage in gentle physical exercise.

    Nottingham Carers Hub Virtual Support Groups

    The Nottinghamshire Carers Hub is a support service for Unpaid Carers in both Nottingham City and County. They offer impartial advice, guidance, peer support through Support Groups (online at present), as well as a helpline and dedicated Support Workers for each district of Nottingham to help lead those caring for a loved one, friend, neighbour etc.

    Now that things are opening up, and restrictions are easing, they are trying to increase their availability around Nottingham and reach out to services relevant to unpaid Carers such as yourselves, attached is their Virtual Support Group poster for July 2021

    TuVida Volunteers required

    TuVida are desperately in need of volunteers to support unpaid carers and their loved ones in the community.
    A few hours a week or even once a fortnight could make a huge difference to someone else’s life. Their community volunteers visit unpaid carers or their loved ones to give companionship and friendship. Sit, have a chat and a cuppa, go for a walk, potter in the garden anything they can offer throughout Nottingham city or Nottingham county.

    If you know anyone who may have a few spare hours please point them in TuVida's direction.

    Your Health Your Way Exercise Class

    Information about new weekly live workouts on the Your Health Your Way Facebook page. These will be a 30 minute ‘fast class’ every Wednesday at 2pm. Darren will switch it up each week and workouts will range from HIIT to core to AMRAPS. They will be suitable for all abilities as different options to moves will be offered.
